The World Health Organization has called the Coronavirus outbreak “the defining global health crisis of our time.” We are living in a stressful and difficult time, and it is normal to feel anxious, stressed, and even depressed during the pandemic. A poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that 45% of adults say the pandemic has affected their mental health. Social distancing, loss of jobs and income, and the ease of infection spread have made access to mental health services and support more difficult than ever during a time when keeping mentally healthy is just as important as caring for your physical health.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by life and current events, engaging with a licensed therapist could help. Medicwell offers free Mental Health Services for users experiencing mental illness, depression, anxiety, insomnia, or distress as a result of Coronavirus. People of all ages can experience worry, fear, and unease from living through the Coronavirus. Engage in talk therapy with licensed therapists to gain the support and advice you need to take care of yourself during this difficult time.

How It Works

National Coronavirus Hotline (NCH) makes it easy for you to access licensed therapists from the comfort of your home. Register on the site with your identifying information and a short summary of issues you would like to discuss with a therapist. The NCH booking engine will validate your eligibility for free services and match you with an available therapist. Book your appointment through the NCH and log into a video chat with a licensed therapist at your appointment time. We recommend the use of the video call services for appointments as it makes it easier for a therapist to give you the best advice.

Each session is approximately 20 minutes long, and eligible users can book up to 3 appointments per week.

Mental Health Services Intext

Mental Health Services on NCH are delivered by therapists via video chat, audio chat, or normal phone call on the NCH 800 number (800-223-9419). If you prefer to use a normal phone call for your appointment you will need to enter your appointment pin to be connected to the therapist.

There are four layers of eligibility for free services on NCH depending on whether you are a US citizen, a Non-US citizen with a green card, a Non-US citizen with a visa, or Undocumented. The type of funding NCH has available at a particular period for providing these free services determines who is eligible for free services.

Everyone can utilize Mental Health Services through the NCH. Sign up for early access to the NCH now and feel secure that better mental health is within reach.
