You, our users, requested that we add more services and we heard you. Today, we are announcing a really exciting change that we have been working on in the last 4 weeks. We are changing our name to and we are thrilled about it (and why you should be too..). We would like to tell you why.

We set out to respond to the Coronavirus pandemic and take part in the concerted efforts to reduce the spread of the virus. The surge in infections saw the need for telehealth and teletherapy services for the Coronavirus patients and those that were isolated and unable to reach the health facilities. Now the Coronavirus cases have sunk to new lows. The CDC reported last week that 63% of adults had received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. President Joe Biden’s goal of 70% of American adults with at least one dose by July is nigh. From your feedback, we have made great successes in reducing the spread of the virus.  As you requested, it is time that we aligned ourselves to serve you better. How?

We are changing our name to cover a broader audience. Not just Coronavirus patients. We have now turned our focus to general medical care and mental health care. We are dropping disinfection services because Coronavirus cases have gone down.

We are expanding these services to more states.

Eligible users in California, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, Texas, Illinois, Florida, and Arizona can book an appointment on Medicwell to gain access to general medical care and mental health care services.

Coronavirus care

Whether you are experiencing Coronavirus symptoms or just need advice from a doctor, telehealth is a great option to access healthcare. Medicwell offers video visits with licensed doctors with extensive experience and training about Coronavirus infections. Whether you are experiencing medical problems common to respiratory infections, such as breathing difficulties, flu, nausea with vomiting, fever with chills, cough, fatigue, headaches, and post-nasal drip, you can speak with a physician from the comfort and safety of your own home. With Medicwell’s telehealth services, our easy-to-use video visits allow you to:

  • Talk with your doctor one-on-one for 15-minute appointments
  • Assess your symptoms
  • Get advice on whether or not you should receive a Coronavirus test
  • Order lab tests
  • Have your physician send prescriptions to your local pharmacy
  • Obtain referrals to local doctors if you need to be seen in-person

General medical care

For general medical care, Medicwell covers primary care, internal medicine, allergies, infectious diseases, and dermatology. Under primary care, Medicwell doctors cover preventive care and can refer patients to specialist doctors. Under internal medicine, our doctors help you manage chronic health problems, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, lung disease, heart failure, or kidney disease. They also cover men’s health, women’s health, digestive disorders, heart disease, thyroid disorders, healthy eating, migraines, vaccination, and infectious diseases.

Under allergies, our doctors cover allergy prevention, allergy treatment, and allergy care. They also cover allergic reactions, triggers, food, metal, pollen, contact allergies, sinus infection, insect bites, and asthma. Under dermatology, Medicwell doctors cover eczema, psoriasis, acne, skin mole, cysts, dermatitis, autoimmune diseases, hair loss, nail conditions, and skincare.  Telehealth has become a preferred way for many people to consult with a doctor. If indicated, Medicwell doctors can also write a prescription for users and send it to their pharmacy of choice.

Mental health care

For mental health therapy, our mental health specialists can treat stress, anxiety, depression, addiction relapses, overdose, distress, insomnia, and trauma/PTSD. Engaging in talk therapy with a licensed telehealth therapist can help people to get the support and advice they need to look after themselves. Medicwell has partnered with the best-licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT) in the 8 states to provide patients this service.

Medicwell continues to provide these services for free to eligible users. How?

Medicwell is a platform that institutions use to deliver healthcare-related services to underserved communities. The platform empowers cities, counties, states, foundations, and nonprofits to easily deliver healthcare-related services to their target communities. Currently, the services that institutions can book are telehealth and mental health services.

If you represent an institution, state, county, city, or zipcode you can create a health care campaign on Medicwell. The campaign will allow people from your target audience to get free telehealth and mental health services on Medicwell. Just like a person will book a Google Adword campaign, with a click of a button, an institution can book a healthcare campaign and we will deliver the services in real-time. The customers (patients) do not have to pay for services if they are eligible for free services based on the campaign parameters the institution set for the campaign.

Medicwell will go live in the next 7 days.
